(Another copy of the Leaning Tower of Pisa falls from the sky and lands in the place of the first.) Security officer: Don't worry! This happens all the time! (takes out a walkie talkie) Drop in another tower, please. SpongeBob: Oh, no! What have you done, Pat? (Patrick eats the Leaning Tower of Pisa.) Patrick: That tower is made of pizza? Hooray! SpongeBob: I can't believe that one dollar and eight cents we got from the lottery was enough to buy us a ticket to the Leaning Tower of Pisa! (SpongeBob and Patrick are standing in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.) It's presence is rather like the Taj Mahal -surreal! I found it an odd sensation climbing the tower with it leaning to one side and I was a bit anxious coming down as someone held the qué up and did pull over in the passing point, I should have just politely requested they did instead of suffering in silence.Patrick Eats the Leaning Tower of Pisa is an episode of The Silly Adventures of Patrick Star. There is also an open air market selling tacky things but the shops are quaint and authentic (this is tucked away over the back) the tower itself is really impressive and the impact when you walk round the corner gives you goosebumps. We booked tickets well in advance to get the times we wanted and visited all the sites offerings so made our visit feel worth it.
The site is a short 20 minutes walk from the train station with a few bars and restaurants on route and nice scenery with river. We got the train from Bologna (changing at Florence). A must experience if your staying nearby in Bologna (as we were) or Florence.
